After graduating from the University of Tennessee, I spent the next 20 years in the corporate world. During that time my wife and I bought a home in mid-town Memphis that was build in 1900. I spent a lot of my free time working on the home.
When the company I worked for went out of business my wife suggested I go into furniture repair. As she put it every one has furniture that needs help and the craft like so many others is being lost to the computer world.
So in 1998 after being formally trained I started my business. After being in business for about two years, I repaired and refurbished a 100 year old mahogany table for the then conservator of the Pink Palace Museum. That one table and the quality of repairs made on it put my company in the position it's in today.
In the last decade I have worked on countless high value antiques, some dated back as far as 350 years old. I do work for individuals and corporations and my quality of repair does not vary no matter how big or how small the job.
